1. General Policy & Nature of Chemical Reagents

Due to the technical nature, health and safety requirements, and analytical purity standards of the products sold on [https://arresearchchems.com/](https://arresearchchems.com/), we cannot accept general returns or exchanges on unsealed or opened chemical products.

Once a chemical reagent or compound leaves our controlled storage environment, its purity and integrity cannot be independently verified if returned. Therefore, to ensure that all clients receive unadulterated, ultra-pure compounds, all sales are considered final once dispatched, except under the specific circumstances outlined below.

2. Exceptions to EU Consumer Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Rule)

Under European Union Consumer Rights Directive (Directive 2011/83/EU) and Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek), the standard 14-day statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to supply agreements concerning:

  • Goods that are unsealed after delivery and are not suitable for return due to health protection, chemical hygiene, or safety reasons.
  • Goods that, after delivery, are by their nature inextricably mixed or exposed to potential contamination.

3. Eligible Scenarios for Refunds or Replacements

AR Research Chems will issue a full refund, order reshipment, or replacement product at no additional charge under the following specific conditions:

  1. Incorrect Item Delivered: You received a product that differs from the item ordered on your invoice.
  2. Damaged in Transit: The outer packaging or inner container arrived visibly damaged, leaking, or broken.
  3. Verified Quality Defect: The compound fails to meet quality/purity specifications (requires verified laboratory analysis documentation).
  4. Order Cancellation Prior to Dispatch: You requested an order cancellation before the order entered the fulfillment and dispatch pipeline.

4. Claim Procedure for Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, you must submit a claim within 48 hours of delivery:

  1. Contact Support: Email support@arresearchchems.com with your Order Number in the subject line.
  2. Provide Evidence: Attach clear photograph(s) or video showing:
    • The unopened package and shipping label.
    • The damaged, leaking, or incorrect container/item.
    • A clear explanation of the issue.
  3. Review: Our compliance and fulfillment team will review your submission within 1–2 business days. Once approved, we will issue a replacement shipment or initiate a full refund.

5. Order Cancellations

  • Before Shipping: You may request an order cancellation at any time prior to shipment by contacting support. If the package has not yet been processed or transferred to the shipping carrier, a full refund will be processed to your original payment method.
  • After Shipping: Once a tracking number has been generated and the shipment has been transferred to the postal or courier carrier, the order cannot be canceled or recalled.

6. Customs Seizures & International Import Responsibilities

As stated in our Corporate Terms of Service:

  • Buyers are strictly responsible for ensuring that the products ordered comply with the import regulations of their destination country.
  • AR Research Chems is not responsible for orders held, seized, destroyed, or subjected to import fees/taxes by foreign customs authorities.
  • Refunds or reshipments will not be issued for orders confiscated or destroyed due to local import restrictions or illegal importation attempts outside the Netherlands.

7. Processing Refunds

When a refund is approved by AR Research Chems:

  • Refunds will be credited back to the original payment method used during checkout (e.g., bank transfer, card, or cryptocurrency wallet).
  • Card and bank refunds typically process within 3 to 7 business days, depending on your financial institution.
  • Cryptocurrency refunds will be calculated based on the original EUR (€) order value at the time of purchase.
